Repurposed: Aluminum Lawn Chair Makeover

I inherited these very retro aluminum lawn chairs from my grandparents a few years back and I instantly loved them.  They reminded me of childhood beach trips and going to see concerts in DC with my beloved grandparents - but I thought they could use a little bit of love.  I (obviously) love a good vintage aesthetic, but when I can add something to it to make it seem just a teensy bit more modern, I seize the opportunity.

Zero Waste: Reusable Cotton Rounds.

Do you find yourself using these little cotton rounds or cotton balls for everything like I do?  I use them for taking my makeup off, using my astringent, taking off nail polish, cleaning out a cut, and the list goes on and on... Up until this week, I had been using the disposable kind which seemed silly when I have mountains (and I mean mountains) of scrap pieces of fabric.

In the Kitchen: Leftover Greens Pesto.

Guys, we did it!  Summer is here - birds are chirping, kids are running around, gardens are growing, and basil is ever prevalent.  To me summer means outdoor concerts, grilling, biking everywhere, and lots of easy raw meals.  Mostly because we live on the second floor and are too stingy to use our AC all day...BUT with everything being so fresh and in season, it's the perfect time to really use all of the flavors of the season!
