Inspiration Tuesdays - Driftwood.

One of my favorite perks of living in Buffalo is having Lake Erie in my backyard.  It's too cold now unfortunately, but I love spending afternoons foraging for interesting driftwood and lake rocks that need to come home with me.

As you can see, I go prepared bringing lots of bags and patience.  Sometimes you find some really wonderful goodies and sometimes you don't - but from this haul I made this!

I had plans to make this wall hanging for my living room, and then just collected random bits of driftwood that seemed unique.  Then today, feeling less than inspired, I took to Pinterest.  Interiors with interesting driftwood pieces kept popping up and really inspiring me.

I really love incorporating natural elements in the home, and this really inspired me to get some of my findings from past Lake Erie adventures and see what I could do with it.

Here is some of the ways I found to use driftwood in our house!  What do you think?

More projects to come I'm sure, especially once the weather warms up and I can find some more goodies!
