We rounded off our Valentine's Day evening with a movie that we watched on our first Valentine's Day together - Chocolat. If you haven't seen this movie, go watch it. It's adorable and sweet. If you have seen it, then lets just talk about Vianne (the main character) - serious style envy.
The movie takes place in a beautiful little French village in the 50s/60s - so her clothing is that beautiful feminine midcentury style that I'm super fond of. She balances romantic pieces with utilitarian, all while baking the most delicious looking chocolate.
On top of how lovely her wardrobe is, I'm just longing for a bit more warmth. Not that this winter has been rough, but shlepping through two feet of snow today with 4 layers on, I really miss throwing on a skirt and cute pair of heels. I know it's around the corner, and just the mere thought of it is exciting!
The girl can really rock a cardigan though, am I right? I am always inspired to find my femininity after watching a kick-ass character like her.
