Inspiration Tuesdays - Colorful Nature-Inspired Embroidery (And It Was Too Grey Today).

How was your Tuesday?  I woke up to a very grey morning and rain.  Boo to this rain.  I mean, if it's gonna be winter, let's at least get some snow over here...am-I-right?  Alright alright, so we do what we can.  We look at pretty colorful things and think spring!

It's not that I'm over winter or wishing it away even - I just want a little sun.  Oh, and flowers.  And maybe just...green stuff.

I was stumbling through some of my favorite Blogs and websites the other day and came across this post titled "20 Nature-Inspired Embroidery to Melt Away the Winter Blues." - so they probably wrote this for me right?  I think so.

The website is My Modern Met and it's a website that "Celebrates creative ideas and promotes a positive culture by spotlighting the best sides of humanity - from lighthearted and fun to the thought-provoking and enlightening."  Or basically they share really unique art in a very beautiful way!  (Seriously, you will get sucked down a rabbit hole easily if you start clicking around - but a really really interesting and beautiful rabbit hole!)

I do really love embroidery; it's always been a favorite hobby of mine.  I am definitely not nearly as good as these artists, but I love seeing what people can do with a needle and thread.

Check out this one - some large scale embroidery!

I can't get enough of all of these.  Nothing makes me want to get out my embroidery box and cross stitch some gorgeous cheerful flowers like the winter.  We'll just get by looking at these cuties and making flowers, whatever way we can.

The Artist is Sarah K. Benning and you can read more about her beautiful modern Interior design and houseplants series here.
