Week One.

Well, I did it!

I made it through the first week of being in a business of my making!  Granted, this week was full of the "un-fun" bits... lots of figuring out DBAs and tax IDs and most importantly organization (anyone who knows me knows I've got a long way to go on this!)....but now that I got all that out of the way - bring on the creative stuff!

The view from my studio.  Still snowing.

This morning I woke up and it's a balmy 5 degrees outside, but beautiful puffy snow! So it seemed like the perfect morning to get all snuggled up in my studio with a giant cup of coffee and list a couple vintage cuties on Etsy.  With my helper of course, who after bugging me for an hour to get her something soft to sleep on, I caved and brought her bed in.  She's just too delicate (i.e. spoiled) to sleep on the hard floor.

Also brought her three toys and blanket in to create an ideal sleeping spot.

Naturally I brought my little fireplace into my studio.  That was just inevitable.

Here are three out of the four vintage goodies I posted today!

To conclude my first week and reflect back on my happiness project: I certainly am feeling super happy!  I worked just about 40 hours, so that was a positive, and I posted 4 items on my Etsy shop.  I didn't make my goal of posting 5, but that just means I will post 6 next week!  I've certainly blogged more, seeing as how before this it was, well, um, nada.  So hooray!  Success!

How are the first weeks of your new years going?  I hope they're as toasty and productive as mine.
