Inspiration Tuesdays - Richard Meier

How many of you are familiar with the architect Richard Meier?

If you aren't familiar with him, you will love him!  His attention to geometric shapes, prominent use of the color white, and bold lines make him one of the most unique architects in the world.

I'm not sure when I discovered him, or even how...but I'm sure my love for Frank Lloyd Wright stemmed it.  Richard Meier has cited Wright as one of his main influences along with many other like minded architects.

I mean, right?!  So elegant!

A Newark, New Jersey native made a name for himself early on, and still lives today to enjoy all of his beautiful work.

I even based my entire Senior project on this guys work.  So much white leather!  I loved it.

I know that I will probably not use white as often in my designs anymore, but I think his love of strong lines and unique shapes together will stick with me forever.  Such a wonderfully talented man.
